A highly reputable secondary school in Jersey is seeking a passionate and dedicated qualified teacher to join their team on a 1-year fixed term contract starting from September 2024. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across designated subjects in line with the school’s curriculum.
  • Plan, prepare, and implement engaging lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Maintain effective classroom management and uphold the school’s behaviour policies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A degree in the relevant subject area.
  • Proven experience teaching at the secondary school level.
  • Strong understanding of the UK national curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience teaching in an international or independent school setting.
