Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in English Language, Literature, and Drama.
  • Experience teaching English and Drama at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to promoting the values and ethos of the school.

Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English and Drama lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • They will use a variety of teaching strategies to engage students and promote active learning in both subjects.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in English and Drama, providing constructive feedback and support as needed.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning in both subjects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices in English and Drama education.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities as required.
  • Uphold the school's policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and behaviour management.
