Design & Technology Technician

We're recruiting a Design & Technology Technician to support a busy and well-resourced department at a secondary school in Wandsworth.
This role is ideal for someone hands-on, organised and confident working in a practical learning environment.
Working as a Design & Technology Technician you'll play a key role in ensuring lessons are fully prepared, safe and engaging for students.
The role (Wandsworth Secondary School)
You will:
- Prepare, set up and test materials, tools and equipment for practical lessons and assessments
- Support teaching staff and students during practical sessions
- Maintain, organise and store tools, machinery and materials
- Coordinate repairs, servicing and maintenance of equipment
- Monitor stock levels and manage ordering processes
- Keep accurate financial and inventory records
- Support the ongoing development of DT facilities
Health & Safety
You will:
- Maintain H&S records (Risk Assessments, COSHH, equipment checks, LEV, audits)
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations
- Liaise with site staff and external contractors where required
