Design & Technology Teacher – Blandford Forum

Teaching Personnel is working with a secondary school in Blandford Forum to recruit a passionate and creative Design & Technology Teacher.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire students through practical, engaging and challenging lessons, helping them develop both their technical knowledge and creative problem-solving skills.

The Role:

• Teach Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan and deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons.
• Support students in developing their design and making skills.
• Prepare students for relevant examinations and assessments.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of individual students.
• Monitor and assess student progress.
• Promote safe working practices within practical lessons.
• Work collaboratively with the wider DT department.
• Contribute to the wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate:

• QTS or relevant teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology.
• Experience teaching within a secondary school.
• Confident delivering practical lessons.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Creative, enthusiastic and committed to student development.
• Able to inspire students of different abilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
