A progressive and supportive secondary school in Yeovil is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to join their team from September. This opportunity is perfect for a creative and dedicated educator who thrives on delivering engaging, hands-on learning experiences.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Planning and teaching dynamic lessons in specialisms such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering
  • Encouraging creativity, innovation, and independent thinking while maintaining high academic standards
  • Supporting the continued development of the D&T curriculum within a well-established department
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities
  • A modern and inclusive secondary school with strong values and supportive leadership
  • Well-equipped workshops and excellent teaching resources
  • A collaborative staff environment with positive behaviour and a strong team ethos
  • Conveniently located in Yeovil with good transport connections across the area
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of the Design & Technology curriculum
  • Ability to inspire, engage, and challenge students of all abilities
