Are you a passionate and dedicated Design and Technology (DT) teacher looking for a new opportunity in a vibrant secondary school setting?

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team at a well-established client school located in the heart of Old Trafford. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students in the field of DT, fostering creativity and innovation.

The role starts from Thursday 5th September, and will run full-time until the end of the academic year (July 2025). However, since this is a shortage area, Teachers with shorter availability (for example, September until December) will still be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons that cater to a diverse range of student abilities.
  • Create a supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and success.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the DT curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Specialism in Design and Technology or related field.
  • Experience teaching DT at the secondary level is desirable but not essential for NQTs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Commitment to promoting a positive learning environment for all students.
