We are delighted to be seeking a creative, skilled and motivated Design and Technology Teacher to join our forward‑thinking secondary school in Bolton from September 2026.

This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young people through practical, innovative and high-quality Design and Technology teaching. We welcome applications from ECTs and experienced teachers who are passionate about hands-on learning and creative problem-solving.

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach Design and Technology across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities may be available)
  • Deliver engaging lessons across relevant specialisms such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering (depending on expertise)
  • Promote safe working practices in specialist classrooms and workshops
  • Encourage creativity, independence and technical skill development
  • Play an active role in curriculum development within the department

You will:

  • Hold QTS (or be on track to achieve it by September 2026)
  • Have strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Design and Technology
  • Be committed to delivering inclusive, high-quality teaching
  • Set high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement
  • Be keen to contribute to extracurricular activities and whole-school life
  • A well-resourced Design and Technology department

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
