Salary: £180 - £220 Per day

This role holds immense responsibility in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, as well as fostering a supportive environment for their mental health needs. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in safeguarding processes within the school, acting as the lead Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.

  • Managing referrals and supporting staff in reporting cases of suspected abuse or radicalization.
  • Conducting whole school safeguarding training and ensuring staff have up-to-date knowledge.
  • Maintaining and managing child protection files, ensuring secure transfer of information.
  • Raising awareness of safeguarding policies and procedures within the school community.
  • Providing support and coordination for students with mental health difficulties.
  • Liaising with external agencies to facilitate referrals and support for students in need.
  • Engaging in the performance review process and participating in professional development activities.
  • Promoting equal opportunities and celebrating diversity within the academy.
  • Maintaining a professional working environment and adhering to health and safety policies.
  • Supporting academy events and actively promoting corporate policies.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and good practise in mental health support services.
  • Experience in multi-ethnic urban schools and continuous self-development in safeguarding.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft software and safeguarding databases.
  • Qualification in mental health support and first aid.
