A Secondary School in the BB1 area of Blackburn, Lancashire are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Dance to join their Performing Arts team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a diligent and self-motivated individual who is seeking to make a difference. This post offers the opportunity to take a key role in the strategic direction of an improving school, and the successful candidate would be making a strong contribution to promoting high standards across all aspects of school life.

  • Start date: September 2024
  • Contract length: Part-time, 3 days a week. Maternity cover contract (12-months)
  • Experienced practitioners and ECT’s welcome

The school is looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status
  • Has a strong track record as an outstanding Teacher of Dance
  • Has the passion for Dance which is evident in their day-to-day classroom practice
  • The ability to work in collaboration with other members of staff to develop and manage projects
  • Has the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Has the ability to inspire high achievement in young people from all backgrounds
