Hours: 8:30am – 3:00pm
Salary: £25,583 – £25,989 per annum pro rata

Supply Desk are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the Chichester area who are looking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to play an important role in maintaining learning and continuity when teachers are absent.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will support the smooth running of the school by supervising lessons in the absence of teaching staff and ensuring students remain focused and engaged with the work provided.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4

• Delivering work and instructions set by teachers

• Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment

• Supporting students with their learning where appropriate

• Managing behaviour confidently and consistently

• Building positive relationships with students

• Supporting the wider school team with daily duties

• Helping ensure learning continues effectively during staff absence

The school is looking for someone who:

• Has a genuine passion for working with young people

• Is confident managing a classroom independently

• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Can build positive relationships with students

• Is patient, resilient and approachable

• Has a good sense of humour and a positive attitude

• Can remain calm and consistent when managing behaviour

• Is reliable, organised and committed to supporting students' learning

Previous experience working within a school or with young people is desirable, although candidates with relevant transferable experience will also be considered.
