Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Leamington Spa, starting ASAP.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, graduate or education professional looking to develop their experience within a secondary school environment.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise classes in the absence of the usual classroom teacher.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students remain engaged with their work.
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
- Manage behaviour confidently and professionally.
- Support students with their learning and provide guidance where appropriate.
- Follow school policies and procedures at all times.
- Work across different subjects and year groups.
- Build positive relationships with students and staff.
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience working with children or young people.
- Ideally have experience within a school or education setting.
- Be confident managing a classroom and maintaining positive behaviour.
- Be patient, approachable, professional and reliable.
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Be able to use their initiative and work independently.
- Be confident supporting students across KS3 and KS4.
- Be willing to commit to a full-time role.
- Be able to travel to Leamington Spa by car or public transport.
- Hold GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Any teaching, education, childcare or classroom-based qualifications would be beneficial.
- £120-£150 per day, depending on experience.
