A secondary school in Potters Bar is looking for a confident, reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team for an immediate start, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position.

Cover Supervisor – The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of teaching staff and ensuring students remain focused and engaged with their learning.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering pre-set lessons and work across a range of subjects
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s expectations
• Supporting students with their learning where required
• Maintaining a positive and purposeful classroom environment
• Working closely with teaching staff and the wider school team
• Ensuring students remain on task throughout lessons

The school is looking for someone who is confident, reliable and able to build positive relationships with young people. Previous experience working with secondary-aged students or in a school environment would be beneficial.

This role would also suit graduates or individuals looking to build experience before pursuing a career in teaching.
