Are you a confident, professional and reliable individual with excellent behaviour management skills? We are seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support a range of secondary schools across Salford from September 2026.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set work in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and on task while maintaining a positive learning environment.

  • Supervise whole classes during teacher absence.
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons and instructions.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
  • Ensure a safe, respectful and productive learning environment.
  • Provide support and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Report on student engagement and behaviour following each lesson.
  • Maintain a professional and positive presence at all times.
  • Experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring or youth work setting.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and confidence leading groups.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Able to remain calm, professional and adaptable in a busy school environment.
  • Reliable, punctual and well-organised.
  • Passionate about supporting students to achieve their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
