Cover Supervisor New

Location: Southampton
Hours: Full-time (term-time)
Start: ASAP / September
Pay: £100 – £130 per day

Do you have the ability to maintain a positive learning environment and support students across a range of subjects?

We are seeking Cover Supervisors to work within secondary schools across the Southampton area. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers or experienced support staff looking to develop their experience within education.

You will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged with learning and behaviour expectations are maintained.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supervising lessons using pre-prepared work
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining engagement
• Supporting students with tasks where required
• Ensuring a calm and focused learning environment
• Covering a variety of subjects and year groups
• Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson progress
• Upholding safeguarding and school policies at all times

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with young people (desirable)
• Confident classroom presence and strong communication skills
• Flexible, reliable and professional approach
• Ability to manage behaviour positively and effectively
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Passion for supporting young people in education
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
