An inclusive secondary school based in Fareham are seeking an inspiring and hard-working cover teacher to join their team.

The role is to cover lessons of students within the KS3 and KS4 bracket. Your main responsibility as a Cover Supervisor will be to manage the behaviour of the class and deliver the pre-set work. • Supervising all of the cover work across the school by communicating to the cover teachers what set work the students will need to complete
  • Ensuring the required resources and equipment needed for the lesson are effectively delivered
  • Providing assistance to the regular teaching staff within lessons
  • Managing the behaviour of pupils whilst the students are undergoing work within lessons

We are currently looking for educators who:

  • Are confident in classroom management, delivering adaptive and responsive teaching
  • Comfortable covering across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Provide a positive environment for learning, developing powerful learners
  • Confident covering a mixture of subjects with a subject specialism being a bonus
  • Happy to support more challenging schools where behaviour may be present in the classroom
  • Have an enhanced child only DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)
