Position: Cover Supervisor

Location: Stevenage

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for Cover Supervisors to join our team to work in schools in Stevenage and surrounding areas to cover lessons during Teacher absences.

About the role

As a Cover supervisor, you’ll be playing a vital role in ensuring all students are receiving the very best education. You’ll be working closely with other teachers across the school to deliver engaging and informative lessons pre-planned by their permanent teacher. You’ll also be required to be attentive to any students that may need extra support with their work during lessons and proving guidance with class work. As part of the role, it is important for you to provide feedback to the permanent class teacher, or faculty members where appropriate.

The successful candidate will need to have a flexible and adaptive nature and open to covering for a variety or subjects, and year groups depending on what is required at the time. It is also ideal that you have an innovative mindset to adapt the lessons to all different skill sets to ensure understanding across the board for all students.

Requirements

• Teaching qualifications are not required but experience within Teaching, Leading or coaching groups of students is ideal.
• Any qualifications in specific subjects are ideal
• Good classroom management
• Adaptable and Flexible to work with all ages, and skills
• A child only enhanced DBS
• An overseas police clearance (if applicable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
