Cover Supervisor

Teaching Personnel

£77 - 85 per day


Permanent | Full Time



We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Cover Supervisor to join our team in Greater Manchester, Salford. This is a position that can be as flexible as needed, with work available Monday to Friday. 

  • Supervise and manage students in the absence of their regular teacher
  • Ensure that all students are engaged in productive activities during class time
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and materials to students
  • Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
  • Manage student behaviour and address any disruptive or challenging behaviour effectively
  • Support students with their learning and provide assistance when necessary
  • Follow the school's policies and procedures
  • Communicate with other staff members to ensure a smooth running of the school day
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with children or young adults

No specific higher education qualifications required, but GCSE's are essential. 

Recent university graduates are recommended for this role. 

Prior experience working with children or young adults is preferred.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively manage and supervise a classroom of students
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
  • Basic understanding of educational principles and practises

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
