As a Computer Science Teacher, you will teach KS3 and KS4 students how to approach problems logically and work through solutions step by step.

Key responsibilities
Teach Computer Science across KS3 and KS4
Deliver lessons on programming and systems
Break down tasks into manageable steps
Support students with coding and logical thinking
Prepare students for GCSE assessments
Track progress and provide feedback
Maintain structured classroom routines

The classroom environment
Lessons are organised and clear
Students work through steps logically
Behaviour is consistent
Learning is focused

Skills and experience
Strong computing or technical background
Clear explanation skills
Organisation and structure
Classroom management

What success looks like
Students solve problems independently
Confidence improves in coding tasks
Work becomes more structured

QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly those with computing or technical experience
