Are you a compassionate and resilient Complex Needs Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity supporting children and young people with additional needs?

A welcoming and inclusive Specialist School in Reading is seeking a dedicated Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring individual who is passionate about helping pupils with complex needs access learning and develop their confidence and independence.

As a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex needs.
• Supporting pupils with communication, sensory, physical and learning needs.
• Assisting pupils to access classroom activities and educational programmes.
• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Providing personal care where required.
• Creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Working closely with teachers, therapists and wider support staff.
• Encouraging pupils to develop independence and confidence.

This Complex Needs Teaching Assistant role would suit someone with experience in education, care, support work or a similar setting. Experience supporting pupils with PMLD, autism, physical disabilities or complex medical needs would be highly desirable.
