Position: College Leader (Maternity Cover) - One full academic year
Tudor Grange Academy Worcester, a vibrant and forward-thinking institution, is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Leadership Team as a College Leader for the duration of a maternity cover starting in September 2024.
As a College Leader, you will lead Ashe College, a pivotal role within our academy.
Role Overview: As a College Leader, you will oversee a small school within the wider academy, responsible for the academic and pastoral success of students from years 7 to 11. This role involves leading a dedicated team of tutors and administrators to ensure an environment of excellence, achievement, and support for all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team of tutors and administrators to foster a culture of success and achievement within the college.
- Establish clear expectations for standards, quality, and achievement for both teachers and students.
- Ensure a focus on quality first teaching to raise standards and achievement across all key stages.
- Drive school improvement priorities and lead your team towards achieving progress in line with these goals.
- Develop strong working relationships and a consistent team approach to provide clear vision and direction for the college.
Candidate Requirements:
- Dynamic, creative, and forward-thinking individual committed to delivering outstanding education.
- Solid knowledge of the curriculum at KS3, KS4, and KS5, with the ability to support teachers in raising standards and achievement.
- Previous experience in effectively leading and motivating students and staff.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement team approaches towards achieving common goals.
- Proactive engagement with the local community and dedication to improving lives through education.
Additional Information:
- The academy is divided into five colleges, with Ashe College focusing on years 7 to 11.
- Approximately 210 students are allocated to each college, distributed across 10 tutor groups.
