An SEN provision in Preston has approached Teaching Personnel and is seeking a passionate Class Teacher who can plan and deliver high quality lessons for KS1 and KS2 students, following the national curriculum closely yet adhering to any Educational Health Care Plans when necessary.
Your working day will involve taking small classes and delivering KS1 – KS2 lessons in a creative and forward-thinking way, creating a positive learning environment for all pupils. You will also provide general support with the development of social and emotional skills and encourage positive behaviours, relationships, and outcomes. Children may have severe, complex additional needs so candidates must be familiar and confident with supporting an array of needs.
Class sizes are generally small with learning led by yourself outside of the classroom. As this can be a challenging environment you will ideally have experience in this sector and have worked with challenging individuals.
The ideal candidate will have hold QTS (or equivalent) and have a strong subject knowledge for KS1 and KS2. The school are open to various experience and try and recruit based on the unique skills a candidate can bring to the role, giving their pupils exposure to new experiences.
