Teaching Personnel is working closely with a welcoming and supportive Primary Special Educational Needs (SEND) school in the Haywards Heath area, who are seeking dedicated Child Supervisors to join their team on a full-time, temporary-to-permanent basis.
This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity for compassionate and resilient educators who are passionate about supporting children with additional learning needs. You will play a vital role in helping primary-aged boys access education, build confidence, and achieve their full potential in a nurturing and structured environment.
As a Child Supervisor, you will provide consistent 1:1 support to primary-aged boys with learning difficulties throughout the school day. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing individual support within the classroom to encourage learning and engagement.
Supporting pupils as they transition between lessons and around the school site.
Assisting during educational visits and school trips, ensuring pupils remain safe, engaged, and included.
Building positive relationships that promote confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver tailored support strategies.
Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils develop essential social and communication skills.
We are looking for individuals who:
Have previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Are patient, empathetic, and committed to making a positive difference.
Are confident working on a 1:1 basis with primary-aged pupils.
Hold (or are willing to obtain) an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS.
Can commit to a full-time role, Monday to Friday.
Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle due to the school's location.
Competitive weekly pay of £360 - £460.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
