Smile Education are currently recruiting on behalf of a high-performing secondary school in Smethwick for a Chemistry Teacher to join their Science department on a long-term maternity cover basis, starting around mid November.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join a supportive Science department within a well-established secondary school. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Chemistry lessons, supporting positive behaviour and helping students make strong academic progress.
The Role
- Teaching Chemistry across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons
- Assessing and monitoring student progress
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Working collaboratively with the wider Science department
- Supporting students to achieve their full academic potential
- Taking an active role within the wider school community
The Ideal CandidateWe would love to hear from
qualified Chemistry Teachers who:
- Have strong subject knowledge in Chemistry
- Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching within a secondary school
- Are passionate about Science and committed to student progress
- Have strong classroom management skills
- Can build positive relationships with students and colleagues
- Are available to start around mid November
