Contract: Fixed-term (until December 2026)

We are working in partnership with a well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Clitheroe to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Chemistry for a fixed-term role from September 2026 through to December 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking Science department within a school that values high-quality teaching and student progress.

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Chemistry lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
  • Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with the national curriculum
  • Support students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Science team
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in Chemistry or a related subject
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for science education
  • Experience teaching in a UK secondary school setting
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A welcoming and supportive school community
  • Well-resourced Science department
