Mainstream Secondary – KS3 & KS4

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Chemistry to join a supportive and forward‑thinking mainstream secondary school in Blackburn, Lancashire, from September.

This is a full-time role teaching Chemistry across KS3 and KS4, suitable for both ECTs and experienced teachers who are passionate about delivering engaging science lessons and inspiring pupils to achieve their potential.


The Role

  • Teaching Chemistry within the Science department at KS3 and KS4
  • Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons
  • Assessing pupil progress and providing effective feedback
  • Contributing positively to the wider life of the school
  • Creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has strong subject knowledge in Chemistry
  • Demonstrates effective classroom and behaviour management
  • Is committed to pupil progress and inclusive practice
  • Works well as part of a collaborative teaching team
