The Role - Chemistry Graduate / Unqualified Chemistry Teacher

• Full-time Chemistry Graduate teaching role from January 2027 to July 2027
• Work as an Unqualified Chemistry Teacher within a high-performing Science department
• Support and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Lead practical Chemistry experiments and support students during laboratory activities
• Prepare and organise laboratory equipment, resources and practical materials
• Maintain high standards of laboratory health and safety
• Support students with their understanding of Chemistry and scientific concepts
• Work closely with experienced Chemistry and Science Teachers
• Gain valuable classroom experience in preparation for teacher training or a future career in education

About You - Chemistry Graduate

The school is looking for a Chemistry Graduate who is passionate about their subject and interested in developing a career in education.

You will ideally have:

• A 2:1 degree or above in Chemistry from a leading UK university
• A or A* grades at A Level, including Chemistry
• Excellent Chemistry subject knowledge
• Confidence communicating with and supporting secondary school students
• A genuine interest in Chemistry teaching and education
• Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous school, tutoring or classroom experience is desirable but not essential
• The enthusiasm and commitment to develop as a future Chemistry Teacher
