Are you an experienced Catering Manager looking for a new opportunity in Worksop? Academics, is proud to be supporting a fantastic primary school in the Worksop area to recruit a Catering Manager to join their friendly and dedicated team on a temporary basis from early February 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver the school's daily catering provision, ensuring high-quality, healthy, and balanced meals.
- Supervise, motivate, and support kitchen and midday staff, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Plan, prepare, and cook meals for pupils and staff, adhering to all dietary and nutritional requirements.
- Oversee food ordering, stock control, and menu planning in line with the school's healthy eating policy.
- Maintain excellent standards of kitchen hygiene, safety, and cleanliness at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Catering Manager role or similar position within a catering environment.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to manage stock, budgets, and staff records.
- Knowledge of healthy eating guidelines, nutrition, and specialist dietary needs.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A food hygiene qualification and knowledge of food safety regulations are essential.
- A commitment to safeguarding children.
- Have or be willing to process an Enhanced DBS Certificate.
