Are you a passionate Carpenter?

Teaching Personnel as an accredited provider for a College in Cambridge is seeking an experienced Assessor/Trainer in Carpentry to join a busy Construction and Motor Vehicle Work Based Learning department on a full-time basis. There are two possible start dates for this role, one is in June, and one is in September.

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct assessments of learners' competency levels in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver engaging and informative training sessions, workshops, and practical demonstrations to learners.
  • Collaborate with curriculum development teams to update and develop training materials and resources.
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to learners to help them achieve their learning goals.
  • Monitor and track learner progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Ensure that training programs meet quality assurance standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements to enhance training programs.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Level 3 relevant vocational qualification and relevant vocational CPD.
  • Level 3 TAQA or Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Qualifications (or equivalent, A1, etc).
  • Proven experience in the relevant industry or field.
  • Previous experience in vocational education and training, particularly in assessing and/or delivering training programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
