A specialist school in the PR7 area are looking for additional staff, they have commented that they would like individuals with a calm and nurturing approach. They have recently had success with individuals in school providing additional support from a care/ support background.

To be successful you will need to be able to build a good rapport with pupil’s male and female aged between 2-19 with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) who may display challenging behaviours. The role will involve general support within the classroom, as well the expectation of delivering specialised interventions on 1:1 basis and in small groups. With this expectation relevant training will be provided. Depending on your experience, you may be asked to work 1:1 with specific pupils who may need additional support and nurturing to enhance their learning and development.

 

  • Competitive hourly rates £13.00 - £15.25 p/h.
  • Flexible working hours – mornings, afternoons, and full days (8.30am-12.30pm/ 12.00pm-3.30pm/ 8.30am-3.30pm)
  • Training opportunities and ongoing support
  • Chorley based (PR7).

Part-time and full-time hours are available providing flexible working hours to work around possible existing jobs. You need to be a very motivated individual who can cope in challenging scenarios and with challenging behaviours.
