About the Role
Are you a passionate and dedicated Business Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic Business Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school, where you'll inspire pupils to develop their knowledge, confidence, and understanding of business, finance, and the wider world of work.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and inclusive Business lessons in line with the relevant curriculum.
- Teach pupils across a range of abilities, supporting them to develop their knowledge and understanding of business concepts.
- Cover key areas including business ownership, marketing, finance, operations, human resources, and the wider business environment.
- Use real-world examples, case studies, and current business developments to make learning relevant and engaging.
- Develop pupils' analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Assess, monitor, and record pupils' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
- Prepare pupils effectively for relevant examinations and coursework where required.
- Create a positive, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and independent thinking.
- Promote high standards of behaviour, engagement, and achievement within the classroom.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, parents, and the wider school community to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
- Contribute to departmental planning, enrichment activities, careers events, and wider school activities where required.
- Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Business Studies and the relevant curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A passion for business and inspiring pupils through engaging and practical teaching.
- The ability to plan and deliver stimulating lessons using real-world business examples.
- A commitment to raising attainment and supporting pupils of all abilities.
- Strong organisational and assessment skills.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
