The Role
The school is seeking to appoint a committed and adaptable Business Studies Teacher to join its established team. This role offers an opportunity to deliver engaging and accessible Business Studies lessons tailored to students with a range of learning needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality teaching, supporting students to develop practical business understanding, and promoting key life skills such as communication, problem-solving and financial awareness.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver differentiated Business Studies lessons appropriate for SEND learners
Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual student needs
Monitor, assess and report on student progress
Contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and pastoral staff
Support students’ personal development alongside academic progress
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable, though not essential for a suitable candidate)
Have experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level
Demonstrate an understanding of SEND, or a willingness to develop expertise in this area
Show patience, resilience and a flexible, creative approach to teaching
Possess strong communication and teamwork skills
