The Role
The school is seeking to appoint a committed and adaptable Business Studies Teacher to join its established team. This role offers an opportunity to deliver engaging and accessible Business Studies lessons tailored to students with a range of learning needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality teaching, supporting students to develop practical business understanding, and promoting key life skills such as communication, problem-solving and financial awareness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver differentiated Business Studies lessons appropriate for SEND learners

  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual student needs

  • Monitor, assess and report on student progress

  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and pastoral staff

  • Support students’ personal development alongside academic progress

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable, though not essential for a suitable candidate)

  • Have experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level

  • Demonstrate an understanding of SEND, or a willingness to develop expertise in this area

  • Show patience, resilience and a flexible, creative approach to teaching

  • Possess strong communication and teamwork skills
