BUSINESS STUDIES TEACHER

Location: Aylesbury
Start: September 2026
Full Time: Temporary to Permanent
Salary: £29,344–£44,919

In Business Studies, answers are not about opinion — they are about reasoning.

Students might suggest an idea, but your role is to take it further: Why does that make sense?
What evidence supports it?
What are the drawbacks?

As a Secondary Business Studies Teacher, you teach KS4 students how to think logically, structure arguments, and apply knowledge to real scenarios.

Lessons are built around explanation, not guesswork. Students must justify their thinking and develop answers that meet clear standards.

Your role in the classroom
You deliver GCSE Business Studies lessons aligned with the curriculum
You break down key concepts such as finance, marketing, and operations
You teach students how to structure written responses effectively
You use real-world examples to bring topics to life
You identify gaps in understanding and address them directly
You prepare students for exam conditions with clarity and structure
You maintain a focused classroom where expectations are understood

How your teaching impacts students
They move from basic answers to structured responses
They understand how to apply knowledge rather than memorise it
They develop confidence in writing longer answers
They approach exams with a clear method

This role works best for
Teachers who enjoy logical subjects
Those who explain ideas step by step
Professionals who prefer structured teaching
People who value clarity, consistency, and measurable progress

Requirements
Experience teaching Business Studies or a related subject
Strong communication and explanation skills

QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly candidates with backgrounds in business, economics, or finance

This is a role where students learn how to think, not just what to write — and where your teaching directly shapes how they approach real-world decisions.
