We’re working with a well-regarded secondary school in Oldham who are looking for a Behaviour Support Mentor to join their team from September.

This role would suit someone who has experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour and is confident building positive relationships with students. You’ll be working closely with pupils who may need additional support with their behaviour, engagement and emotional wellbeing, helping them to make positive choices and stay on track with their education.

The role:

  • Supporting students across the secondary school
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support
  • Helping students manage behaviour and engagement
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Working closely with teachers and the pastoral team
  • Supporting students to access learning and make progress

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience working with young people
  • Has experience supporting behaviour, SEMH or challenging behaviour
  • Is confident, patient and consistent in their approach
  • Can build strong relationships with students
  • Is passionate about helping young people succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
