Teaching Personnel are recruiting a Behaviour Support Manager to work across secondary schools in Newport. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in education, behaviour support, or classroom management.

As a Behaviour Support Manager, you will:

  • Manage classrooms in the absence of the teacher
  • Ensure students remain engaged with pre-set work
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies
  • Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs (SEMH)
  • Create a positive and structured learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral teams

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

  • Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
  • Resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to working with young people
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding
  • Experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)

  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • Two professional references covering the last 24 months
