Behaviour Support Assistant New

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of students, whether you are an experienced Behaviour Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker, Learning Mentor or someone with transferable skills from a similar background.

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional behavioural, emotional and social support, helping them engage positively with learning and school life. You will build strong relationships with pupils, teachers and parents, acting as a positive role model and providing consistent support to students both inside and outside the classroom. The role involves supporting pupils with behavioural needs, promoting positive conduct, de-escalating challenging situations, encouraging attendance and engagement, and helping students develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive both academically and personally.

The successful candidate will be patient, resilient and committed to supporting young people in reaching their full potential. You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure and a genuine passion for working with secondary school-aged students. Previous experience supporting children or young people with behavioural, emotional or additional learning needs would be advantageous, although not essential, as training and ongoing support can be provided for the right individual.
