Teaching Personnel are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lancaster to recruit a Behaviour Support Assistant for a September start.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual who has experience supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional or social needs and is passionate about helping children thrive within a primary school setting.

  • Providing 1:1 and small‑group behavioural support to pupils across the primary age range
  • Supporting pupils to engage positively with learning and classroom routines
  • Assisting with the implementation of consistent behaviour management strategies
  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school staff
  • Promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation and social development
  • Has experience working with children with challenging behaviour, SEMH or SEND (school‑based experience desirable)
  • Is calm, patient and resilient, with a nurturing and consistent approach
  • Can build strong, professional relationships with pupils and staff
  • Has a genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
  • Is reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team
