Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant

Location: Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds, LS14

Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £85 - £100 Per day

  • Provide support to pupils with challenging behaviour in an educational setting
  • Implement behaviour management strategies as directed by the SENCO or teacher
  • Assist in creating and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and parents to support pupil progress
  • Document and report incidents of challenging behaviour
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children with behavioural difficulties
  • Understanding of behaviour management techniques

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Prior experience working with children with challenging behaviour

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Training in behaviour management techniques
  • Work primarily in a school setting
  • Full-time hours, temporary position
  • May involve dealing with challenging behaviour from pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
