We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Support Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting individuals with behavioral challenges and promoting their overall well-being. As a Behavior Support Assistant, you will work closely with our clients to implement behavior support plans, provide positive reinforcement, and assist in developing coping strategies. Your role will be crucial in creating a supportive and nurturing environment for individuals with behavioral needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement behavior support plans developed by the behavior analyst or psychologist.
  • Provide one-on-one support to individuals with behavioral challenges.
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to promote positive behavior.
  • Monitor and document progress towards behavioral goals.
  • Collaborate with other members of the support team, including teachers, counselors, and parents/guardians.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, special education, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with behavioral challenges is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of clients.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
