A Secondary School in Slough is seeking a dedicated, patient, and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Therapists, Teachers, or graduates looking to gain valuable hands-on experience working with young people and developing their understanding of behaviour and wellbeing.
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students who may display challenging or complex behaviours.
Help students develop positive coping strategies, emotional regulation, confidence, and independence.
* Build positive and trusting relationships with students and provide consistent encouragement and support.
* Work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to promote a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
* Support students to manage their behaviour and engage positively with learning and school life.
We're looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant who is:
A confident communicator with a genuine interest in behaviour, psychology, and education.
* Interested in gaining practical experience before pursuing a career in psychology, education, teaching, or therapy.
* Calm and consistent when supporting students experiencing behavioural or emotional difficulties.
* Able to build strong, positive relationships with students and work effectively as part of a wider school team.
