Exciting Opportunity: Behaviour Mentor

If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you to join our team as a Behaviour Mentor at an Ofsted good secondary school in Denton.
Role Overview:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a crucial role in providing targeted support and guidance to students who may be experiencing behavioural difficulties. Your responsibilities will include:
Behavioural Support: Working closely with students to identify the underlying causes of their behavioural challenges and develop personalised strategies and interventions to address them effectively.
Mentoring and Coaching: Building positive relationships with students, offering mentorship, guidance, and encouragement to help them develop self-awareness, self-regulation, and positive coping mechanisms.
Crisis Intervention: Responding to behavioural incidents and crises in a calm and professional manner, using de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution strategies to defuse tense situations and ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
Collaboration: Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and other school staff to implement behaviour management plans, monitor student progress, and provide regular feedback and updates on student behaviour and engagement.
Positive Reinforcement: Recognising and rewarding positive behaviour and achievements, implementing incentive schemes and rewards programs to motivate and incentivise students to make positive choices and contributions to the school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
