Passionate, enthusiastic and resilient TA’s needed in Barry. Teaching Personnel are currently looking for Teaching Assistants to support pupils of primary school age

As a behaviour support LSA you will be asked to assist in the daily running of the classroom and work with pupils on an individual basis to facilitate learning. During the day you may be asked to support pupils who present challenging behaviour, a proactive and caring approach will be vital.

The successful educator will:

  • Build excellent rapport with pupils and the staff
  • Be enthusiastic, motivated, caring, and able to nurture children to achieve their potential
  • Committed team player and role model to all children
  • Able to demonstrate and promote excellence, equality and high expectations of achievement and behaviour
  • Committed to their own professional learning and development
  • Able to bring passion, energy, enthusiasm and be driven to fulfill the role to the best of their ability
  • Encourage the pupil to interact with all pupils across the classroom to support their social skills
  • Have the ability to deescalate situations should they arise (support will be provided by other Teaching Assistants within the classroom)

Essential Requirements:

  • Child only DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council
  • Able to provide 2 professional based references
