Behaviour Manager

Working in a thriving secondary school in Oldham, you will play a key role in ensuring every student has access to a high-quality education within a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Behaviour Manager to join our dedicated team. This vital position will help maintain high standards of behaviour and support students in achieving their full potential.

As Behaviour Manager, you will take a lead role in promoting positive behaviour and upholding school expectations across the setting.

Working closely with teaching staff, senior leaders, parents, and external agencies, you will support students in making positive choices, manage challenging behaviours, and help remove barriers to learning.

• Developing and implementing effective behaviour management strategies
• Responding to behaviour incidents and supporting students in real time
• Working closely with Heads of Year, pastoral staff, and safeguarding teams
• Maintaining accurate records and analysing behaviour trends and data
• Building positive relationships with students to support their social, emotional, and academic development

We're looking for someone with:

• Previous experience in a behaviour, pastoral, or student support role, ideally within a secondary school setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to de-escalate situations effectively
• Strong resilience, empathy, and emotional intelligence
• A firm but fair approach, with the confidence to both challenge and support young people
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
