Teaching Personnel Permanent Workforce team are currently working alongside an FE College located in Cambridge, who are currently hiring for an Assistant Principal of Curriculum to join their team of dedicated Senior Leaders from September 2024. The college are seeking a visionary leader of Full Time Curriculum (young people) in order to achieve the College's objectives by supporting the strategic and operational leadership and the development of teaching, learning and assessment across the Directorate.

 

Responsibilities:

  • This role is pivotal to ensure high quality leadership and management in accordance with the College's Mission, Vision and Values.
  • You will be responsible for helping to ensure year-on-year improvements in outcomes for student across the Directorate, including retention and achievement, and progression.
  • You will be responsible for supporting improvements across the Directorate in behaviour and values of students and enhancing the student experience via competition and enrichment opportunities

 

Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will have the ability to manage and lead across more than one subject area/specialism with experience of developing and implementing successful strategies to secure improvements in outcomes for students.
  • Evidence of leading a team to achieve results and a proven record of meeting and exceeding targets for recruitment, retention and student results, across a number areas are critical for this role.
  • A UK recognised Teaching Qualification is essential for this position (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent) ideally with QTS/QTLS.
  • A Bachelors Degree (minimum) within Education/Leadership or any core subject ideally (Maths, Science, English)
  • Ideally the successful candidate will have some form of Leadership qualificiation i.e NPQH, or be willing to work towards one.
