Smile Education is recruiting an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Cook to join a welcoming school catering team in Hyde.
If you're passionate about preparing nutritious meals, enjoy working in a busy kitchen, and take pride in delivering excellent food and customer service, we'd love to hear from you!
The RoleAs an Assistant Cook, you will:
- Prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality meals for pupils and staff.
- Maintain high standards of food presentation and quality.
- Support the Cook with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Step in to prepare and cook meals when the Cook is absent.
- Ensure food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness standards are maintained at all times.
- Deliver excellent customer service and work effectively as part of a friendly team.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as an Assistant Cook, Cook, or within a catering environment.
- Ability to prepare and cook meals independently when required.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
- A positive, reliable, and hardworking attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply through Smile Education.
- Right to work in the UK.
