A respected primary school in Brentwood is looking for an enthusiastic ASD Teaching Assistant to join its dedicated support team from September 2026. You'll play a key role in helping pupils with autism access learning, develop confidence and enjoy a positive school experience in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity running until July 2027.

The Role

As an ASD Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• Help adapt classroom activities to suit individual learning needs.
• Encourage positive communication, independence and social interaction.
• Support pupils in managing routines, transitions and emotional regulation.
• Work closely with teachers and the SEND team to implement personalised strategies.
• Celebrate achievements and help children build confidence every day.

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who:

• Has an interest in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• Is open to both graduates and experienced Teaching Assistants.
• Is patient, calm and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Can work confidently as part of a collaborative school team.
• Has strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
• Wants to make a meaningful difference in children's educational journeys.
