A fantastic Secondary SEN School in Newbury is looking for a caring, patient, and motivated ASD Assistant to join their team. This role would suit graduates, aspiring teachers, Psychology graduates, those with experience working with young people, or anyone looking to build a career supporting children and young people with Autism and additional needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and additional needs.
Support students with their learning, communication, behaviour, and emotional development.
* Assist students with classroom activities and encourage active participation.
* Support small groups with activities both inside and outside the classroom.
* Help students develop communication, social, and independence skills.
* Use appropriate strategies to support students with sensory needs and emotional regulation.
