A Secondary SEN School in Oxford is seeking a dedicated and caring ASD Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Therapists, or Teachers.
As an ASD Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Deliver 1:1 and small group support tailored to students with ASD and SEN.
- Support students with communication, emotional regulation, confidence, independence, and engagement in learning.
- Help create a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to support individual learning and development.
- Observe and monitor students' progress, wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement throughout the school day.
We're looking for an ASD Teaching Assistant who is:
- Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting young people with ASD.
- A confident communicator with a genuine passion for working within SEN.
- Interested in gaining practical experience before pursuing a career in psychology, therapy, or education.
- Able to build strong, positive relationships with both students and colleagues.
