ASD Assistant - Maidenhead

A supportive Secondary School in Maidenhead is seeking a dedicated, patient, and compassionate ASD Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people with additional needs while gaining valuable experience within a school setting.
As an ASD Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with ASD and additional needs.
- Help students develop confidence, independence, communication, and social skills.
- Support students with emotional regulation and help them manage challenges throughout the school day.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students and act as a consistent and positive role model.
- Adapt your approach to meet the individual needs and learning styles of each student.
- Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to create a calm, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
We're Looking For an ASD Assistant Who Is:
- Patient, compassionate, and empathetic, with a genuine passion for supporting young people.
- Understanding of, or interested in developing their knowledge of, ASD and additional needs.
- A confident communicator who can build positive relationships with students.
- Calm and consistent when supporting students who may experience emotional or behavioural challenges.
