Pay Rate: £14.25 - £15.50 per hour (DOE)

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive RC primary school in the WA9 area, who are seeking a dedicated SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

The Role – Job Description

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide individualised support to a Year 3 pupil with ASC
• Support the pupil’s academic progress, emotional regulation, and social development
• Implement strategies in line with the pupil’s EHCP
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and external professionals
• Encourage independence while providing consistent, structured support
• Help create a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment
• Support the pupil both inside and outside of the classroom as required

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in supporting children with ASC and/or SEN (school experience preferred)
• Patient, calm, and nurturing, with a genuine passion for SEN support
• Confident in managing behaviour and supporting emotional needs
• Able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
• Adaptable and proactive in their approach to learning support
• Holding a TA qualification or relevant SEN training (desirable but not essential)
