Teaching Personnel is recruiting ASC Learning Support Assistants to support pupils within a specialist Autism provision and secondary school environment in Carmarthenshire.

This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to support young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Additional Learning Needs (ALN), communication difficulties, sensory needs, anxiety, and social-emotional challenges. You'll help pupils build confidence, develop independence, and engage positively with their education through both 1:1 and small-group support.

Whether you're already working in education or have transferable experience from care, youth work, coaching, or support services, we'd love to hear from you.

✅ Provide tailored support to pupils with ASC and additional learning needs

✅ Support learning, communication, emotional regulation, and engagement
✅ Encourage independence, confidence, and social development
✅ Work closely with teachers and specialist staff to support pupil progress

✔ Experience supporting children, young people, or vulnerable individuals
✔ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
✔ A calm, patient, and resilient approach
✔ Understanding of ASC, ALN, SEN, or behavioural needs (desirable)
✔ Relevant qualifications in Education, Childcare, Health & Social Care (desirable)
✔ First Aid or Team Teach training (advantageous but not essential)

£14.25 per hour paid weekly via PAYE
